Philippe Capdevielle, Member of the Board,

Philippe is the representative of the seed fund Emertec. He is a graduate of the ESSEC (1971). As a member of the management team of SDR Sud Est for twenty years (1976-96), he followed the development of more than 800 small- and medium- size companies, mainly in the industrial fields. He contributed to their financing, through capital investment or short and long term loans or leases.

Before joining Emertec Gestion in 1999, to build this investment fund from scratch with the support of CEA and CDC Entreprises, Philippe was CFO at different small and medium size companies, where he managed growth as well as downsizing issues. As Managing Partner of Emertec Gestion, a fund with over 60M Euros under management, he has participated in raising three rounds of financing. Emertec specializes in new materials, micro & nanoelectronics, as well as energy and environment related ventures.

Philippe also serves on the Board of Directors of six of his portfolio companies (i.e., Emix that works on the production and marketing of polycrystalline silicon ingots and wafers targeted at the photovoltaic industry, H2I-Technologie that pursues the development and marketing of optical detection systems, Coldway that builds cool and heat conditioning portable systems for health care, food industry and logistics, Thermagen that works on the development and marketing of portable self-cooling packaging, Elsametal that is developing a disruptive process allowing extraction of copper and other metals from liquid solutions, as well as Nanoledge.
